Life And Wellness Coach
A life and wellness coach can assist with sport specific training programs. People who are involved in sports go through extensive workout sessions during the athletic year. But in the off-season they must find ways to stay fit on their own.
My name is Becky Frisk and I am a Certified Lifestyle Fitness Coach, Personal Fitness Trainer, and Massage Therapist. My personal goal is to help women, like myself, enjoy a long and fulfilling life. Please feel free to check out the site and learn more about

Double Duty
A life and wellness coach can actually do double-duty. A certified professional trainer can assist with training during the time the season is in progress, and during the off-season. The online coach serves as a mentor and helps athletes devise training programs which increase athletic performance.
Plyometric training is a very common fitness program. This is where the athlete does exercises which mimic the moves made during participation in the event. For example, a basketball player must be able to run, stop and pivot suddenly, and then run in a different direction. Response time can make or break the ability to score points.
When training at home, the life and wellness coach can show the basketball player ways to do specific exercises which require the same moves. During the off-season, performing the exercises keeps the athlete’s muscles strong and flexible so they’re ready for a new season at any time.
A certified coach can work with anybody at any conditioning level. The exercise program is designed based on a survey of needs. The goals of the program are as follows.
- Develop athletic performance
- Increase endurance
- Reduce chances of injury
- Developing peak athletic conditioning
This sounds like a tall order, but athletes are exercisers in a class all their own. Of course, there are many weekend athletes too who are not seriously competitive, but do like to win, have some fun and do it without injury. Fitness is for everyone!
All the Issues
The life and wellness coach plays one more important role. The wellness coach can guide you in the development of a nutritional dietary plan that will meet your physical demands. Athletes often have complicated dietary needs because of the excessive activity. They also often have metabolisms set much higher than the average person, and must eat enough to maintain their weight.
The life and wellness coach will also address the issues related to stress and mental preparedness for athletic competition. This is another special issue that athletes must confront during their active years. As you can tell, the online fitness coach can play an important role in the development and maintenance of athletic abilities.
Athletes usually train a lot and this means they have unusual fitness needs. Though they usually have coaches during the regular season, an online coach can supplement the training at home. The online coach is available for consultation when you need her and can help you stay fit even during the off-season. In addition, the online coach can help you stay on track nutritionally so you don’t inadvertently sabotage your training by the foods you eat.
