Health and wellness coaching will focus on each important component of a fitness plan and one of those is the muscular-skeletal system. Muscles must be regularly worked and stretched in order to stay strong and look toned. A good workout will involve a variety of exercises that target the muscles.

Use Them or Lose Them
If you don’t use your muscles, they can actually atrophy or become virtually useless. Most people never reach this stage unless they have a debilitating injury or sickness. But people who are healthy otherwise can have weak muscles that are prone to injury and make doing simple daily activities difficult.
Muscles must be worked and worked hard. Some muscles seem to be easier to deal with such as the biceps. The bicep muscles are long and lean and are easily strengthened with exercises using weights and repetitions. Other muscles are thicker and require more deep muscle exercises in order for the workout to be effective.
Everyone knows abdomen muscles are hard to tone. You can do what seems like thousands of sit-ups and see few results. There’s a reason for this, and it’s because sit-ups really don’t use the abdomen muscles in the trunk of your body. A much better exercise is a set of crunches where you use the abdomen muscles to pull the upper half of your body up from the floor. Health and wellness coaching can be used to expand your knowledge of what exercises work best for you.
These kinds of mistakes are common among amateur exercisers. That’s why health and wellness coaching can offer such invaluable advice. No one wants to waste time doing exercises that aren’t working or fail to tone the target muscles.
Talking the Language of Fitness
When people buy exercise books they have to spend a lot of time interpreting the language. If you don’t know the name of the muscles, it’s hard to follow the directions. It just takes more time out of your fitness program.
Health and wellness coaching can teach you the language, but more importantly, the way to use exercises that work multiple muscle groups. Wouldn’t it be better to do exercises that strengthen your back and abdomen muscles at the same time?
This is just one of the many benefits you can get when you use a wellness coach. When you learn your muscles and how they are integrated, you are less likely to do anything that will injure your body while completing your exercises. A coach will teach you how to properly perform the exercises while working more than one muscle at a time.
Health and wellness coaching is all about making sure you understand what you need to know for getting healthy. This includes working the muscles so you are toned and fit. You also learn how to get the most out of your exercise program.
You need to love your muscles and understand why they act as they do. “Talk” nice to them and they will reward you with strength and flexibility.
